Mid America Truckshow - Louisville 2012

David Dyck - Thursday, February 02, 2012

Well, we are on our way back to Louisville for another round of the Mid America Truckshow. Be sure to stop by the Shift booth. It is 91020 and located just outside the front entrance. Here's a quick snapshot of last year's booth. Oh, and be sure to check out our latest build in the Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Show.

Updated Customer Gallery

David Dyck - Sunday, April 17, 2011
We just updated our customer gallery with two new trucks. The first truck is called Starsky & Hutch, and although not a complete throwback to David Starsky's Gran Torino, the nickname stuck. Starsky & Hutch is typically seen pulling a tanker up and down I-94. The second truck was spec'd and designed by Clint Moore of Kansas City Peterbilt. The owner is Eddie Braun, of Ohio, who will be using the truck to haul windmill blades.

MATS 2011 Roundup

David Dyck - Sunday, April 10, 2011
Thanks to all who came by and visited us at the Mid America Truckshow in Louisville last weekend. For those who missed it, it was an amazing show with awesome show trucks and a ton of cool stuff on display inside the exhibition center.
This year we were represented by four very different trucks. In our booth, at the front entrance, we had the truck known as Starsky & Hutch. Jade Transport had two combo units in the show and shine with Shift Carbon Fiber fenders all the way around and, finally, Clint Moore's latest creation "The Daffy Duck Truck" was shown inside the hall.

2011 Mid America Truckshow - Louisville Here We Come

David Dyck - Monday, February 21, 2011
We are booked and will be on our way to Louisville in a month's time. Be sure to check us out at booth 91020, which will be outside and by the main entrance to the exhibition halls. If you were thinking about ordering some parts, just let us know, and we will give you the show special pricing ahead of time.
Also, we are currently building a truck to showcase in our booth, but we're not quite sure if it will be ready in time. You can follow the progress of the project on our Facebook page. We look forward to meeting you there.

New Stainless Steel Accessories from Shift

David Dyck - Monday, November 08, 2010
We have just begun production of our new line of Stainless Steel accessories. This is exciting news as we have been toying with these ideas for quite some time. The first items we are offering are Breather Bars and Stack Shields.
The Air Cleaner Bars come as either a blank or with two lights per side. These lights can be wired as markers or as turn signals as well. These breather bars are designed to fit Donaldson Air Cleaners on Peterbilts.
The Exhaust Shields are also really cool, as they wrap right around the exhaust and hug it really tight. They are also 60", as opposed to the normal 48".  The exhaust shields are designed to fit 6", 7", and 8" pipes.
You can phone or email to order.

Hello Alberta. We're packing up our gear and heading to Red Deer for the Alberta Big Rig Weekend on the weekend of June 19th and 20th. Check out Pro-Truckers website for more details.
We will be there showing off our Peterbilt 389 front fenders and our newly finished rear fenders. We are going to have a selection of carbon fiber and fiberglass fenders on display. If you are in Saskatchewan or Alberta and were thinking about buying fenders, we are offering free shipping if you order before June 5th*. I'm not entirely sure where our booth will be located, but make sure to come look us up. We look forward to meeting you there.
*Some restrictions apply. Phone us for more details.

Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass Truck Fenders - Rear Fenders Update

David Dyck - Friday, May 14, 2010
Just a quick update. Our production rear fenders are ready! Pre-ordered fenders will begin delivery next week. For those of you who missed the pre-order, you can still phone or email us to order direct. We will not begin stocking inventory until all pre-ordered fenders have been delivered. Oh, and I realize I'm biased, but they are sweet fenders.
Right now, our estimated fender weight is around 32 lbs for Carbon Fiber and 40 lbs for Fiberglass. That is including the inner fender liner. I will have pictures of the production spec'd fender soon (I would've had them today, but I forgot my camera).

Fiberglass 3.89 Fenders Now Available

David Dyck - Monday, February 01, 2010
Just so you are all aware, our 3.89 fenders are now available in Fiberglass as well as Carbon Fiber. The fender is still stretched down 2" lower, towards the tire, than the stock Pete fender. We understand that not everyone is as weight conscious as we are, yet they still want a nice looking front fender. Therefore, if you don't need the ultra-cool-looking, light-weight, really-strong, probably-the-only-set-in-your-State Carbon Fiber fenders, then give us a call about our fiberglass ones.

Untouchable Light Bar

David Dyck - Monday, January 25, 2010
I'm not sure if you know the truck called "The Untouchable." It is a 1953 Peterbilt that will pretty much blow your mind. I know our minds were blown by it. Having seen it being built when I was a kid, it became the standard by which I judged all other trucks. And, as I have yet to see another truck with the underside sheeted in mirror finish stainless steel, it set the bar very high for me. Which is why it was such a great honour when we were asked to build a rear bumper or light bar for it. The light bar is a small thing when compared to the complete list of modifications done to this truck, yet, it was great to be part of its legacy.

Currently, the truck is located in Tye, TX and has been put up for sale by Schuman Equipment. Contact the Schuman's if you are interested in purchasing the finest example of a 1953 Peterbilt. If you can only afford to look and not touch, then check out the gallery.
